Mt. Sunapee State Park Title

The December 15th ice storm has downed many trees and tree limbs.  Park users should exercise extreme caution when using this park.  Thank you for your cooperation.

This major recreation area in the Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee Region offers year-round activities. In the winter, alpine skiing is available at Mt. Sunapee Resort, owned by the state of New Hampshire and managed by the Okemo Mountain Resort.

Enjoy hiking, swimming, picnicking, boating, fishing and swimming in the summer/fall months. The campground offers lean-to and platform sites for family camping. Mt. Sunapee State Beach is situated about a mile from the campground and offers many amenities.

While the park facilities are closed for the season, the park lands are always open for recreation.

Park admission is $4 for adults; $2 for children ages 6-11; children ages 5 and under and NH residents age 65 and over are admitted free.

Are pets allowed at Mt. Sunapee State Park? Pets are permitted at the campground and at the park, except during the Arts & Crafts Festival. They are not permitted at the beach or at the ski area during the ski operating season. See NH State Parks Pets Policy for more information.
